have lived in Co. Armagh in Northern Ireland for for over 200 years, probably
much longer. James McMurray (my
great-great-great grandfather) was born in
the late 1700's and lived in the townland of Ballygargan.
The McMurrays in this
region were involved with growing flax and arable crops, also worked in
local mills weaving linen. They experienced the potato famine and decedents
left for the New World.
